Prayagraj: Massive Fire at Shiv Sonar’s Shop Near Mahadev Temple in Tharwai, Flames Controlled After 4 Hours

A massive fire broke out on Thursday morning near Padila Mahadev Temple under the Tharwai police station area in Prayagraj. The incident occurred around 7:30 AM on November 7, when flames suddenly erupted at the shop of Shiv Sonar. Within minutes, the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire shop in flames.
Local residents tried their best to douse the fire but failed. The fire department was immediately informed, and two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. However, the blaze was so intense that it took nearly four hours of continuous effort to bring it under control.
The flames spread so widely that nearby houses were also affected. The shop, which was approximately 100 feet in length, was completely gutted, leaving behind nothing but ashes. The entire area was filled with smoke and panic.
Police and administrative officials from Tharwai station also reached the spot and assisted in the firefighting operation. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, though the property damage is extensive.
The family of Shiv Sonar was inconsolable, as everything they owned and worked for was destroyed in the blaze.
Authorities have started investigating the cause of the fire. Preliminary reports suggest that an electrical short circuit could be the reason behind the incident.
