“Ambedkar on Mayawati’s lips, but BJP in her heart!” — says Congress leader Udit Raj

New Delhi / Patna:
A fresh political storm has erupted in Bahujan politics after Congress leader Dr. Udit Raj made a sharp attack on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati.

In a Facebook post, Udit Raj wrote —

“Mayawati always takes the name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in her speeches,
but in reality, BJP resides in her heart.”

He further alleged that during the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections,
Mayawati’s silence helped the BJP gain an upper hand,
and the same “political game” is now being played in Bihar.

Udit Raj’s Allegations:

The Congress leader accused Mayawati of benefiting the BJP with her political stance and strategy.

He said —

“The BSP has become the ‘B-Team’ of the BJP.
Outside, she talks about Ambedkar,
but inside, she follows BJP’s political line.”

Udit Raj also claimed that Mayawati’s organization, which once stood for social justice,
is now being used to indirectly help the BJP electorally.

🗳️ Political Context:

  • Mayawati has always projected herself as the true follower of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s ideology.
  • However, opposition parties — especially the Congress — often accuse her of taking positions
that indirectly benefit the BJP, especially during elections.
  • Udit Raj’s recent statement comes as the BSP is trying to expand its influence in Bihar,
where the party has been holding several meetings and outreach programs.

🔍 Response from BSP:

So far, neither Mayawati nor the BSP has issued any official response to Udit Raj’s allegations.
However, party insiders have reportedly said that Udit Raj is making such statements only to stay in the headlines.

📢 Conclusion:

The ongoing war of words between Udit Raj and Mayawati highlights a new phase in the fight for the Dalit vote bank.
While the Congress is trying to regain support among Dalit voters,
Mayawati is focused on preserving her traditional Bahujan base.

With elections in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh approaching,
this political debate is expected to intensify further in the coming months.
