Political War of Words Intensifies After Bihar Elections: BJP Targets Akhilesh Yadav Over PDA Formula

Following the results of the Bihar Assembly elections, political tensions have escalated in Uttar Pradesh, with sharp exchanges between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (SP). BJP leaders have directly targeted Akhilesh Yadav, alleging that he went to Bihar to halt the BJP’s “victory chariot,” but failed to gain public support.

In a strong statement, BJP leaders claimed that in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party would be “defeated decisively,” and the lotus—the BJP’s election symbol—would bloom again in the state. They also criticized the SP’s ‘PDA’ (Backward, Dalit, Minority) formula, alleging that it is not aimed at the welfare of the poor and backward communities but instead serves as a “family development agency.”

BJP representatives further alleged that during the Samajwadi Party’s previous tenure in Uttar Pradesh, law and order had deteriorated and that the party supported criminal elements. They asserted that voters now prefer development, security, and stable governance, which they believe the BJP is providing.

In response, Samajwadi Party leaders dismissed the allegations as politically motivated. They argued that the BJP is attempting to divert attention from real public issues through such statements. According to SP leaders, the PDA formula represents social justice and inclusive participation, and they remain confident that the people of Uttar Pradesh will opt for change in 2027.
