Fake “Sensodyne” Toothpaste Factory Busted in Delhi, Huge Quantity Seized

Delhi Police have uncovered a major counterfeit operation involving the manufacturing of fake toothpaste. The factory was producing counterfeit products under the name of the well-known brand “Sensodyne” and selling them in the market as genuine items.

According to police officials, a raid at the factory led to the seizure of approximately 1,800 filled toothpaste tubes, 10,000 empty tubes, 1,200 packaged units, and nearly 130 kilograms of prepared toothpaste.

The factory owner, Hariom Mishra, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the Accused was using fake packaging and branding to mislead customers. Authorities warned that such counterfeit products not only amount to consumer fraud but also pose serious health risks.

This incident once again highlights the growing threat of counterfeit goods in the market. Notably, the brand being misused is often recommended by dentists for tooth sensitivity, making the situation even more concerning.

Police are now conducting a deeper investigation to identify other individuals involved in the network and to trace the distribution channels through which these fake products were supplied.
